Lunch at Tang Pin Kitchen, Klang

Another good deal bought from everyday.com

Hubby ordered this 'tong sui' - double boiled winter melon with longan.
This is soya cincau and this drink is always Cyn and Maine favourite.  Something very simple but they just love it.

Mum & I ordered this. Lime sour plum. Very nice and good for throat.

Hubby and I ordered mee curry.  The curry is just nice not too thick. Worth a try

Fu Chuk skin roll.  The outer layer is chee cheong fan.  Something special and tasty.
I was given 4 coupons of 30% for my next visit.  Can give this restaurant a try for those staying in Klang.

Yam Kuih (Or Kuih)

Last Sunday, my mum wanted to clear her little garden in front of the house compound.  She planted yam, lemongrass and daun kesum there and she want to get rid of the yam plant and she asked me to do something with it.

I made yam kuih with the yam we harvested from our little garden.  The recipe is the same like how I make pumpkin kuih here.

The only different is I sliced the yam and steamed it, while it still hot, smashed the yam but make sure you leave some small pieces. Happy trying

I captured this with my handphone so it is not clear.  There are 2 version here.  Fry it or garnished it with red chillies, spring onion and fried shallot.

Another close up.  I took this photo this morning in the office as I brought some for my colleagues.

Packing and Packing

Why packing ? Am I going anywhere ? Yes, I am leaving for good !!!

This week will be my last week in this organisation.  After that I will take one week off before I start my new career path again in a more challenging environment.

Yesterday was my 4th year anniversary in this company and I know I am going to miss my bosses and colleagues here.  Yes, 4 years and this is the second longest organisation I worked before.  The longest organisation I worked was almost 9 years.

I have start to pack my personal belonging and documents where I keep them in office most of the time.  I also start to handover my work to my colleagues. I am going to miss all of them here.

Weekend

It was 7.07am and I heard my phone ringing telling me that there was SMS.  I was thinking who send me SMS on Saturday early morning.  When I open the SMS, it was not a good news.  My ex-colleague send me a SMS saying my daughter's nanny passed away on Friday because of breast cancer.  My ex-colleague is her immediate neighbour and she take care of Cyn when she was 5 years old after she returned from kindergarten everyday for almost 1 year. Aunty Alice was a soft-spoken lady and she will never scold Cyn.  I brought Cyn to her house on Saturday night to pay her the last respect.  May her soul rest in peace.

On Sunday, we went to Aeon Bukit Tinggi and had lunch at Boston Restaurant located at 1st Floor.  They had Budget Lunch promotion for RM 5.95.  So, I told my hubby to give it a try.  They are famous of steamboat and this is first time we stepped in this restaurant.

Honey Chicken Rice - RM 5.95

Ice Lemon Tea - RM 5.95
Overall the food was average but the Ice Lemon Tea was very nice because it is as expensive as the rice.

After lunch, we went to Jusco for window shopping.

I remember I still have 4 coupons which I bought from http://www.everyday.com/ with me. So, tunggu apa lagi !
Remember I mentioned about those coupons here

Overall the environment was good and cozy place for dinner. But for food wise, there are still lots of room for improvement. Basically the rice was too dry and the spaghetti was average only.

Balik Kampung

The post title sounds so nice...but not meant for me.  My mum will go back to Miri tomorrow for 5 days.  I already gave her a shopping list as below :-

1)  Laksa sarawak paste
Laksa Sarawak paste
2)  Terung asam/terung Iban - can anyone tell me where to get this in West Malaysia
Credited to google.com
3) White pepper
4) Ikan terubok masin (my colleague wanted this)
5) Buah dabai (if she can get it because it is seasonal)

Credited to google.com
6) Mee kolok - she will normally buy the uncooked mee (dry) so that we can keep and just cook whenever we want to eat.  She will also packed some cooked mee kolok for us to eat on the same day she reached KL.

Wish my mum a safe journey back to Sarawak and I just can't wait to eat all the foods from Sarawak.
