GE 13

Election is the hottest topic now in Malaysia.  Everyone is guessing when is the polling date.  Finally it is announce today.  So, the polling date is on 5 May 2013 (Sunday).  This will be my 2nd time casting my vote and I will definitely go and exercise my right as a citizen.  Eventhought I am Sarawakian but I have change my IC address to Selangor so I don't have to travel so far, the polling station is nearby my house only.

My hubby will be going back to Kuala Terengganu to cast his vote.  I just did the air ticket booking for him.

Sarawak Trip - Sibu & Miri

I was in Sarawak for 4 days with my 2 lovely girls, mum, sister & her hubby and my younger brother.  We fly to Miri on 27 March.  Then, the following day, we (elder bro, younger bro, sister & her hb and I) drove to Sibu for Ching Ming.  The journey took us 6 hours with one stop at Bintulu town for breakfast.  I have not been to Sibu for almost 17 years because my family settled down in Miri after my sister finished her secondary school.  It was a wonderful trip and I really cannot recognise Sibu anymore.  I was there only for one night.  We head back to Miri after our lunch in Sibu the next day.

I was too busy hunting for Sibu's food and had no time to take photo.  We went to pasar malam but I notice that the food that sold there never change since the last time I went.

I also manage to meet one of my old classmate.  She is teaching is Kuching now and was in Sibu for school holiday.  I am happy she is able to spare her time to meet me.  Thanks Lau Bee.

My sister & her hubby stayed in Parkcity Everly Hotel in Miri because my elder brother's house cannot occupied all of us.  So, I brought my 2 girls for swimming before they check out on Saturday morning.

We took the last flight back to KL on Saturday and we had a wonderful time there.  To my friends who spare their times to meet me in Sibu & Miri, thank you very much.  Sorry for not be able to spend more time with you all.  Don't worry, I will be back !! hahahaha

Work & Holiday

Between work and holiday....why am I so busy when I want to go on leave !!!

I will be away for holiday from 27/3 till 30/3 and I notice that everytime when I want to go for holiday, there will be lots of work in office.  I have to rush for month end closing before I can off for holiday ....AH!!! help !!!  The system is really testing my patient and I think my pressure will shoot up soon.  While waiting for system to load report, I took the opportunity to post something here.

I am going back to Sarawak tomorrow ....can't wait for holiday !!! and I hope I can finish all my work before I am off for holiday.

A post from new place

This is my 2nd week in my new workplace.  Hope everything goes well.

Maine's birthday is coming.  She is so excited and keep asking me to buy her cake.  She want to bring the cake for her friends in kindy. We will go to the cake shop to order a cake for her this weekend.  Her birthday falls on 21 March and we might wait for her aunty to come back from Singapore on 24 March to celebrate her birthday.

Another new chapter

Another new chapter will begin in my career life.  I hope it will be a good one and this chapter will end longer  than my previous one.

Chap Goh Mei

Chap Goh Mei is the 15th day of first month in chinese calender.  It is also known as Chinese Valentine Day. 

This Sunday (24/2) is Chap Goh Mei and for the dinner, I am not going to cook as much as I did for CNY eve.  Cooking so much means eating too much. 

CNY Reunion Dinner

This year we are in Klang again to celebrate CNY.  Not going back to Terengganu because my MIL is here to be with us.  However, my mum is back to Sarawak to be with my eldest brother.  My sister is married therefore, she is with her husband in Singapore.  My youngest brother is here with me this year.  If I am in Klang celebrating CNY, I am the one will be in charge of the reunion dinner.  Even only 6 of us here, I still cooked the same amount of dishes.  I just love cooking for my family.  So, the menu of the night

1) Stomach pig soup with fish maw
2) Roasted pork (siew yuk). I got the recipe from here.  A very easy to follow recipe and you will never get it wrong.
3) Steamed chicken
4) Roasted duck (I bought this)
5) Mixed mushroom
6) Mixed vegetable
7) Stir fried Chinese leek with pork belly
8) Steamed garlic prawn
9) Teo chew steamed fish
10) Fried noodle
11) Ngo hiang (This is made by my MIL).

Total 11 dishes and I am so happy as they really enjoyed the food.  Let see the photos below
