Happy Valentine's Day

Happy Valentine's day to my beloved hubby and 2 lovely daughters.  Love you all so much.

For hubby & me, we don't celebrate this day since we are married 13 years ago but we normally make it a point to treat ourselves with a movie.  Only 2 of us, just like during our dating time.  Even we are married for almost 13 years, but we always spare some quality time together.  We will leave the 2 lovely girls with their granny or uncle.

Happy Chinese New Year

Happy Chinese New Year and Gong Xi Fa Cai to all.
This year is snake year and Cyn was born 12 years ago.  This is her year so I hope that she will do well in her coming UPSR.
Huat  ah !!!
I will be on leave from today (8/2/12) and the whole week next week.  Will be back to work on Monday (18/2/13).
Hope this year is a better year for me and family and for everyone.

Pre CNY Family Dinner

We had an early CNY dinner on Monday.  Since my mum is going back to Sarawak this Sunday, I decided to have an early CNY dinner with her.  We had our dinner at New Formosa Restaurant in SS2, PJ.   Let's see the photos.

Hope mum has a safe journey back to Miri this Sunday.  She will be away for 2 months.

Overall, we like the food there.  It is a Taiwanese food restaurant.  We ordered abt 8 dishes include dessert but only managed to take 3 photos as we too hungry.

COACH

COACH ! Why COACH ?

Last Friday, I received a call from Jobscentral and telling me that I won a COACH handbag for participating in their Workplace Happiness Survey.  I remember that I submitted the survey somewhere last year but I can't really remember is there any prizes for that survey.  I also never dream to win anything because I never win before even thought I have entered many contests.  I normally just entered for fun. I was still blur when Ms Penny from Jobscentral told me that I won a COACH bag and she told me that I need to go to her office personally within 7 days to collect my prize.

So, I took 1 day off yesterday to go to Jobscentral office located at Seri Kembangan to collect my COACH bag.  I am so excited.  Since I am going alone and I am not familiar with the route to Seri Kembangan, I decided to go by train.  I took a train from Klang station to KL Sentral and get another train to Serdang.  When I reached Serdang station, I get a cab to get to their office.  A very long journey but it is worth !

When I reached Jobscentral office, Ms Penny verified my IC and she handed over the bag to me...I was so excited and can't wait to hold it.  Let see my new and free COACH handbag.  Can use it for the coming CNY.

Honeycomb Cake / Kek Sarang Lebah

Honeycomb cake is my favourite cake and I started eating it since I was very young.  I only have chance to have it during CNY in our relatives' house. This is one of the delicacy that I will look for when I visit people's house during festivals even till now.

Now, I don't have to wait till CNY to enjoy this cake.  Besides me, my mum also loves this cake very much.  I have google for this recipe for so long and till I found one easy to follow recipe here complete with photos and video. Thanks to Annie for sharing such a easy to follow recipe.  I bake this cake few times and this is the first time I am sharing it here.

I am baking this cake for a gathering with ex colleagues on Saturday's afternoon.  Hope all my ex colleagues love this cake as I do.  This cake always received good response from my family member except my 2 girls.  This is a compulsory cake that I will bake during CNY.

For CNY, I am making ngaku chip this weekend.  Lots of work !

A gloomy morning

After week going to pre-school, Maine cried this morning and told me that she doesn't want to go to school today.  I managed to get her ready for school but she refused to get down from my car when we reached her school.  So, I parked my car and accompanied her to her class and again she refused to enter her class.  I believe she must be fear of something.  I will take to her tonight to find out more.  She never behave like that all this while and she always looking forward to go to school.

Happy New Year 2013

Good morning and Happy New Year 2013 !

Today is the first working day of the year and also the new school term starting.  Cyn is in Standard 6 and as usual she will follows her Aunty Yap to school.  Aunty Yap will comes and fetches her at 6.10am.  She has been following Aunty Yap since she is in Standard 1.  
As for our Little Maine, she is in her Level 2 this year, 2nd year in her kindergarten.  I will send her to kindy and she will follow her teacher (her class' teacher) back after school.  When I sent her this morning, she was ok and even bid me goodbye before I leave her with her teacher unlike last year whereby she cried and want to follow me home.  My post about her last year is here.  I didn't take leave this year but I asked for time off to be a bit late to office this morning.
